Take this Epidaurus & Mycenae One Day Tour from Athens and explore with your guide the ancient city of Mycenae, a major city of the greek civilization and the ancient theatre of Epidaurus.
Leave by the coastal road along the Saronic Gulf to the Corinth Canal, which connects the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea (short stop).
We drive to Mycenae, an Unesco World Heritage Site, the Homeric city of Atreides, the so called city “rich in gold” according to the ancient poets. We visit the Lion’s Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, and the Royal Tombs and the Trasury of Atreus. Lunch in Mycenae.
Then we depart for Nauplion (short photo stop) through the fertile plain of Argolis, the picturesque town nestling at the foot of a cliff crowned by the mighty ramparts of the Palamidi Fortress.
Last stop wil be Epidaurus, also an Unesco World Heritage site to visit the Theatre (4th century B.C.) famous for its astonishing acoustics.
Return to Athens by the National road connecting Epidauros with Corinth.

Me perdí el paseo. Imposible comunicarme por teléfono. Estuve esperando en el Astor hotel con otros dos pasajeros a los que les pasó lo mismo. En la “brochure” de inscripción quedaron en buscarme en el Astor 8.30. Y cuando generé la entrada también decía 8.30. ¿Por qué ese horario si no era el correcto? Negligencia y falta de profesionalismo para un paseo tan caro. Ya he pedido reembolso.

fue error de Viator y de la empresa de turismo q contestan. Pésimo servicio q no volveré a

The main problem with this tour was that the guide spoke very poor English. She gave a commentary in both French and English but was very difficult to understand which was disappointing as we were interested to hear about the history etc. Also the departure from the Amalia hotel was very disorganised and slow. However the sites themselves and the journey through the mountains was lovely. Like many people, we opted not to take the lunch option but to spend time in Napflio instead and that was a good choice.
This was the WORST tour ever!!! At pickup point, tour guy showed up & put me in a taxi, told me it was paid for to bus location. NO, I paid 10 euros, complained at bus & refunded. Tour guide spoke unclear English and French. Spoke back and forward between languages, hard to tell which she was speaking throughout WHOLE tour. NEVER asked if we had any questions! She ran off the bus at each stop, leaving us run to catch up with her. She was arrogant and demeaning, talking to us as if we were idiots. Several other people voiced complaints to me about her out of her hearing range. At the restaurant, she shamefully called out the four persons’ names who did not pay extra for lunch meal and made sure we raised our hand. No where to go if not eating their lunch. Bus was locked. Residential area. Sat on curb and waited! At dropout point, stopped in most left-hand lane of a three-lane busy street and left me to cross in front of traffic. This was NOT in front of my pick-up point. Dangerous to clients! Unpleasant tour guide! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this company! I will tell everyone I know about this experience.
Beautiful country. The theatre at Epidarius is outstanding. The bus rides were long. The guide was distant and not very friendly. Time at the sites was limited.
