Continue and visit the place where at last the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era: The new Acropolis museum.

After lunch drive along the coastal road, passing the wonderful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni & Varkiza to the most Southern point of Attica, Cape Sounion, where the white marble pillars of the Temple of Poseidon stand. On the way, you have a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf and the little islands offshore.
After visiting the Temple of Poseidon, you have time to walk at leisure on the rocky promontory of Sounion.

This tour for the acropolis should be early in the morning with skip the line. We first went to the museum and then walked in 98 degree weather to the acropolis. We were in line 45 minutes in the sun, wall to wall people and no water. One checker to get in. The walk was again wall to wall people and no bathroom, shade or water. It was miserable and we would recommend only going in the early am and be prepared for heat. We were the walked to lunch and then on a bus to Cape Sounio. At least this was more enjoyable to see with the wind.
I don’t know were to start.. First of all the agent office was amazing and explained all my questions in detail . A big plus for us was we had a direct phone number with the agency 24/7 (wow) the trip was amazing we saw Acropolis that cut our breath away (everyone has to see this once in his life ) After we went to a Greek restaurant, the food was just unreal (pastitsio, feta , honey ) all biological super quality ! I highly recommend to take this toor/ as it’s the best value for money out there ! Special thanks to niki for all the hospitality…
The tour althought a very long day, includes all the highlights of Athens and an astonishing trip at
Sounio. The guide was informative and also the driver was very professional. Excellent value for money
This tour specifies Hotel drop off and pick up. We were dropped off a long distance from our hotel and the guide said sorry not my fault. We were told to go this way then that way and we would be right there. After walking about an hour and asking everyone we could get to speak English to us we finally made it back to the hotel exhausted. We started the tour which states it includes Entry/Admission – Panathenaic Stadium, well we were dropped off there and told we had 10 minutes. We were never given tickets to go in. We drove to Cape Sounion with very little interaction from our guide and went up to the museum and Acropolis. we could see the beautiful waters below but the beach access was never mentioned and we were told to get back on the bus and they brought us back to Athens. I had booked numerous excursions for this Rome, Egypt and Athens trip and all were fantastic, but this one. I would never use them again.
