This Athens Sightseeing Tour gives you the opportunity to observe the contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city.
Our guide will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times took place in 1896 (short stop).
We continue and pass by the Prime Minister’s residence (ex Royal Palace) that is guarded by the Euzones in their colorful uniform.
During our tour we will also admire Athen’s most important monuments: the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament and the memorial of the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma).
On the archeological site of Acropolis, an UNESCO’s World Heritage monument we visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally the monument that “puts order in the mind”, the Parthenon.
The last stop of this Athens Sightseeing Tour is the new Acropolis museum. We continue with a pleasant short walk passing by Herodion and Dionysus Theater in order to visit the Acropolis Museum. We visit the place where at last the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era.

Our tour guide was phenomenal! I give her all the credit for making the tour enjoyable. The company needs to upgrade headsets/equipment as many had constant static. Also they changed the hotel location and I didn’t realize until I checked the messages a few minutes before the busses were supposed to load. Luckily it was a couple blocks away.
Exceptional tour guide, Knowledgeable, Great Spirit and Passion in her explanations of the
Museum and climb to the Acropolis, The pick up was a little late but understandable
because of our hotel location.
Very nice tour of the Acropolis’s museum and the actual site! We had plenty of time to look
at everything. Very knowledgeable guide and she got us back to the hotel or if we wanted
could roam the Plaka on our own and take taxi. Saw orig Olympic stadium!
The places visited on the tour were very good. Quite comprehensive for a half-day tour that we took. However, the tour guide who provided the explanations had a complete lack of knowledge about the history and content of the tour. 90% of the time, she talked about operational matters regarding how to walk and be careful with what we did, and only 10% of the time, she explained the monuments, their history, and other details.
Guide didn’t let us know that there were 6600 steps to the Acropolis. At 76 Y/O, it was painful.
Didn’t make it to the top.
